Really incredible mint and used collection with so many key stamps and sets present, starting with virtually complete officials (mainly mint) including agriculture, executive! , interior, post office, department of state set to 20 dollar mint (15c used), Justice, navy, trasury and war all complete + extra soft paper issues, 1865 newspaper set of 3 and later issues, Guam overprints complete, Cuba overprints, incredible Phillipines overprints inclusing 1895/98 set to 5 dollar (50ct to 5 dollar mint), 1903/4 set to 5 dollar complete mint (1c used), later issues, then a big section of revenue stamps including many scarce stamps, in oldtimer USA album. What a great collection with so many expensive items present, offered intact!

Incredible oldtimer collection from an imortant family, has not seen the daylight for 80 years, just come on the market, a little mixed condition as usual, Baden missing only 1 cheap stamp, Bavaria including the scarce nr. 1 used and further good 18kr stamps, Braunschweig, Bremen with the expensive issues and some nice cancels, Hamburg complete, Hannover missing only 1 stamp, Helgoland, Lubeck and Mecklenburg with most expensive stamps, nVP complete, Oldenburg missing only 2 stamps, Prussia, Saxony and T&T with many key values, fantastic Wurttemberg with all the expensive 18 kreuzer stamps, 2x the very rare 70 kreuzer stamp used in 2 shades etc.

Once in a lifetime specialised collection, the collector spent over 50 years on this collection, with much knowledge, patience and big finances, starting with the sought after first issue from 1863 with over 440!!! Stamps including mint, multiples even a bloc of 6!! , tete-beches, then the further issues very specialised including the expensive issues often more than once present, cancels, covers, varieties, proofs, blocs of 4, overprints including varieties, papers, shades, multiples, bisects, imperfs, specimen, old booklets, also great back of the book and occupation, housed in 12 albums. What a great collection, nearly impossible to find anywhere in the world!! We made many more pictures of this lot.

This is a beautiful collection of US Stamps. There are close to 2000 in this album from 1847 through the 1980’s. Hundreds through the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s are in mint condition (never used). A Rare and beautiful collection of United States Postal National Heritage.
