This listing is for an extraordinary collection of Cape of Good Hope triangles, including one of the rare and highly-prized wood-blocks! Edit: Previously, we had written here that a long-time collector of triangles told us the 4d wood-block stamp could be a Spiro forgery, but that was a complete misunderstanding on our part. He has kindly followed up and informed us that the one shilling green next to a penny red in the second to last photo above (see last photo below for a close-up) is definitely a Spiro forgery, and that the wood-block is actually genuine. We recently obtained a lifetime’s collection of stamps and historical collectibles from the estate of a career collector. Christie’s, Waverly, Dutch Country, Apfelbaum’s, etc. We have thousands of documents and collectibles and millions of stamps, and will be adding listings daily.
