Huge lot of letters to William A Porter from Kansas City, Kansas. Most of the 420 plus letters were written between 1910 and the early 1920’s. Many letters are from his numerous girlfriends, and many from his buddies. He seemed be quite the ladies man, breaking many hearts along the way. I read many of the letters and you really are able to get a feel of the times from reading these! Almost all letters are included in the original stamped envelopes – very few “loose” letters. Bill Porter served in the military during WWI, and was stationed at Camp Doniphan, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He served in Co. B, 110th Engineers Kansas Battalion.
