This is an unusual rusticated bent stack from the Fritz/Paolo Becker years in that it is dated 1986. The Beckers did not date their pipes before the 2000s, making this truly collectible. It is one of few pieces made for an Italian pipe club, whose small initials (PCI) also appear with the date. This pipe is marked 007, for any of you lucky rollers or James Bond fans. Lovely rustication – like a Castello sea rock – and a great feel in the hand. The pipe is on the large size, but the extra lip of the stem makes it really easy to clench without fear of leaving tooth marks (of which there are none). Pipe is in fabulous condition, and a real fine smoker with a generous chamber capacity. Rim is clan and crisp, chamber smooth and sound, no marks or scratches anywhere on stem.
