Rare EFO Stamp US George Washington 2c Red 1902 used genuine, error, oddity, freak, Lot# RR2 – I sent this stamp to 5 different experts and have gotten five different reports, we have had it x-rayed, gray scaled, gamma tested. It appears the die was greased in the area causing the loss of ink, but the stamps impression exists – this in my opinion is a very rare stamp, and after 50 years researching have not see another. We believed at first it might be faded but not the case, we thought sun damage but not the case either, then we asked if chemicals, again no, there is no chemical marks, no trace elements and no boarder stains. You can clearly see the stamped impression on the paper where there should have been ink at the bottom of the stamp. Also note there appears to be an additional letter “Y” just to the left and behind the “S” in states at the top of the stamp, it is clearly a letter.
